The BvO™

Honour of Honours

I'm sure many of you have noticed that I don't post things to my blog. There are several (I'll give three) reasons for this:

1. I don't have a digital camera. Longwinded posts are boring, pictures are fun. I can't post pix of things i've seen/done lately. Soon I will own a cellfone with a camera. This camera's vocation will be to provide fun content for the blog.

2. I've been busy. I know that's the lamest excuse ever, but seriously, I've been busy enough that I can't even keep reading the GOOD blogs out there, let alone posting inane bits on my own.

3. I don't like posting to my blog. It's really that simple. I loved designing it. I holed up in my room for the better part of two weeks learning how to host, design, manage CSS, tweak HTML, scale columns, configure htaccess files... the bliss! Two weeks of shameless geekness with short breaks only for cigarettes and Starbucks shifts. Building a website is fun. Occupying a website feels tedious.

Now, a brilliant star of opportunity has arisen on the horizon. The talented and generally loveable Mr. Brett A Dewing has asked me to lend him a hand in making some technical revisions to the way his blog operates. So far his blog's running on a simple Blogger-standard template, on a free blogspot domain. To date his commenting system hasn't worked right. Really.

Think of the symbiosis! Think of the power of harnessing synergies! Think of the worst corporate merger lingo on the market today. We're gonna be great! BvO crafting elegant code, BAD writing reams of delightful content. I've got to be careful though not to scare Mr Dewing with too many excited acronyms. I start sounding like Alphabet Soup when I'm thinking about computers.

Onward and upward!
